
Person Centered Services asked to share the attached flyers with our families. January 14th they are hosting a free “What is Access-VR” webinar at 6PM. Sarah Wolf will be explaining all about Access-VR. Following that, on January 22nd from 5:30-8PM they will be hosting a virtual Transition Services Expo where our families can learn about programs available for your transition-aged students. Our hope is families, school professionals and the students themselves will come to have all of their questions answered about programs available to them in their region.




The fifth grade learned to program Sphero Bolt robots and completed a Rocking Around the Christmas Tree STEM challenge with their robots.






This is a friendly reminder that the Brocton Central School District will have an early dismissal for students tomorrow, Friday, December 20th. PreK and Middle/High School students will be released at 11:00 AM, while students in Kindergarten through 5th grade will be dismissed at 12 PM (noon). Please note that lunch will not be served on this day.
Winter Recess will begin Monday, December 23, 2024 and classes will resume on Monday, January 6, 2025. We hope you enjoy this time off with your friends and family.



This school year, students in Mrs. Swanson’s World Cultures class have been engaging in enriching monthly Global Conversations via Zoom with peers from Ukraine, Poland, Croatia, Germany, the United Kingdom, Brazil, and Taiwan. On December 11, 2024, our Brocton students had the honor of serving as the hosts for this international dialogue. During the conversation, they proudly shared insights about our school, state, and country, while also engaging in a thoughtful discussion on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal focused on promoting decent jobs and fostering a stable economy.



Brocton Elementary has been celebrating National Computer Science week. Over the next few days we will be sharing pictures of the different robotics projects the students have been working on to learn about computer science. Our K-5 Winter Concert is THIS Thursday, December 19, at 9:30 AM in the school auditorium.

Yesterday evening, December 11th at the Board of Education meeting, Mr. Delcamp recognized Alice H. for being December Middle School Student of the Month (pictured) and Colden N. for being December High School Student of the Month (pictured). Mr. Delcamp and Mr. Mead-Colgrove recognized Mrs. Marieanne Fabiano for being Employee of the Month for December (pictured).

BCS Elementary Parents:
Please join us for our K-5 Winter Performance on Thursday, December 19, at 9:30 AM, in the BCS Auditorium. All students in grades K-5 will participate in this concert. The concert should last about 30 minutes.


The PTSA sponsored event for tonight, December 11, 2024, has been POSTPONED.
A new date will be announced soon.


The Music Department proudly presents our annual Winter Concert featuring the Middle School Chorus and Band and the High School Chorus and Band on Tuesday, December 17th at 7 pm in the Leslie Rossiter Memorial Auditorium. Band students are need to arrive by 6:15 pm and Chorus students need to arrive by 6:30 pm to warm-up and prepare for the performance. The student dress code is all black for all four performance groups. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Mrs. Offenbach Smith or Mr. Hornbuckle prior to 12/13/24.
