PSAT/SAT Resources

PSAT/NMSQT
Every October, juniors are able to take the PSAT/NMSQT at no cost to them. This standardized assessment offers students with an opportunity to take the exam to prepare for taking the SAT, determine strengths and areas of improvement, look at colleges that align with their scores, and qualify for national scholarships.

SAT
Juniors and seniors will typically sign up to take the SAT at least once if they plan on attending college. The closest locations for students to test would be Fredonia or Silver Creek High Schools.
The SAT is available for students to take 1 Saturday per month. To sign up, you must do it well in advance and there is a fee associated with it. Some students will qualify for a fee waiver, which can be determined by contacting Mrs. Fitzgerald.
Many colleges have transitioned to "test optional" for their admissions. This means that students have the choice to send their SAT scores to determine their acceptance to the college. It would be a great idea to check with admissions requirements when deciding to take the SAT or not.
